Au contraire de ses c\u00e9l\u00e8bres coll\u00e8gues, Samia Gamal et Tahia Carioca, Na\u00efma Akef ne vient pas des cabarets du Caire. Son apprentissage de la danse s\u2019est fait en m\u00eame temps que celui de l\u2019acrobatie, dans <strong>le cirque Akef, tenu par sa famille<\/strong>. Fille de saltimbanques, avec une petite exp\u00e9rience dans la com\u00e9die-th\u00e9\u00e2trale, Na\u00efma Akef bouscule les habitudes de ses a\u00een\u00e9es, d\u00e8s son apparition \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cran en 1949 dans \u201cLe pain et le sel\u201d de Hussein Fawzi. Ce film, projet\u00e9 le 17 janvier 1949, a eu un grand succ\u00e8s et a aussit\u00f4t fait de Na\u00efma Akef, une h\u00e9ro\u00efne. Elle sera pr\u00e9sente pendant dix ans dans tous les films de Hussein Fawzi ; ils se marient en 1952 et divorcent en 1958.<\/p>\n<p>Consciente de ses atouts acrobatiques, <strong>elle place d\u2019embl\u00e9e la\u00a0danse orientale sous le signe de la performance physique<\/strong>. Il ne lui suffisait plus d\u2019\u00eatre aim\u00e9e pour la beaut\u00e9 de son corps et de la cr\u00e9ation d\u2019une chor\u00e9graphie aux multiples formes, elle rendait en permanence hommage \u00e0 son public, en lui offrant l\u2019inattendu d\u2019un geste qui force l\u2019admiration. Cette volont\u00e9 d\u2019\u00eatre toujours spectaculaire, \u00e0 l\u2019image d\u2019un footballeur dribbleur, a permis \u00e0 Na\u00efma Akef de d\u00e9fendre une conception constamment instinctive de la danse orientale. Elle fera \u00e9cole. Dans les ann\u00e9es soixante, elle a eu des \u00e9mules, dont\u00a0<strong>Zoheir Zaki<\/strong>, celle qui a invent\u00e9 le geste limite dans la danse arabe.
